Being nine years old entails alot of things. Your so young and innocent to the world anbd don't know about life at all and how easily is can be taken away from you. Well one summer my family and I went on a little vacation. We went to Elephant rock park, camping for the weekend and then we went to this little place called Johnston shedends. It was a place you could go to drink, swim, party and have a good time. WELL little did my nine year old self know I would have to scariest moment of my life there.
My brother and I were the first two to reach the water after raceing out of the car. He is 15 at the time of this trip. Of course we are tring to beat eachother to bthe water and see who can swim to the other side the fastset. Little did we know that this particular water park had about 15-20 small waterfalls all through out it. Now if your an adult at this park it can be extreamly fun. The water falls are not that deep at all and when you go down them its like a slide. My brother was the first to jump in and he did fine. I just watched him go down about 3 of the falls in about ten seconds and he signaled me to jump on in, so i did without thinking at all that I can't swim very well, at all.... I hit the first waterfall and go down only about 5 feet, but that five feet took me under for abo;ut 2o seconds, I was unable to get up and out of the water to catch my breath because the currenbt was so strong. The momenbt right as I reached the surface of the water to enhale a huge breath I went straight down another water fall. By this time I have been under for who knows how long. I think I hot my nose on a rock, all I know is it really hurt and the only thing I was doing was trying to hold it under the water to stop the pain.
The next thing I know I'm being pulled off onto the shore line by a man whom I have never seen before. He looks to be my dads age with his wife, im assuming, standing right next to him. I thank the man over and over for helping me out of the water and he is extremely thankful that I'm just ok.
